Development is a very vague word and means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some see the development director as a grant writer. Others see the development director as a public relations person and alumni connection. Others as a recruiter and marketing person and still others as a fundraiser and a person who is always asking for money. Technically, all of these things need to be done, but really development is truly a vocation. God calls us to help build His kingdom by affirming people in their faith and engaging them in the mission of the Church.
We are all called in some way to help build the kingdom. The job of the development director is to help others respond to this call by helping them see the needs and the ways in which they can make a difference. When we work together and each do something – even just one thing - great things happen. Commitment of time and service and financial support are always needed and welcomed. We can all truly make a difference and allow the ministry of Catholic education to continue in Minot.
For the Glory and Honor of God,
